Interview: The Global Power Oligarchy Knows Better Than You

Interview: The Global Power Oligarchy Knows Better Than You

The following is a radio interview I did with The Burt Cohen Show, originally posted here.

Are the world’s economic problems the result of an “excess of democracy?” Since the late 19th century, supra-national power elites have joined together to plan the world better than the unsophisticated masses ever could. Of course not everyone agrees with this set up. Today’s guest is Andrew Gavin Marshall head of the geopoplitics division of the Hampton Institute and research director for’s Global Power Project. It may not be government of, by, and for the people, but hey, it’s so much easier to just let these guys do it.

Interview: The Language of Political Orthodoxy

The following is my recent interview on Fairdinkum Radio about The Language of Political Orthodoxy

Leon is joined by Andrew Gavin Marshal, who is a regular contributor to where he presents a regular podcast entitled ‘Empire Power and People.’ Andrew joins us to discuss the language of Political Orthodoxy in our nations and societies worldwide.

George Orwell wrote: “Doublethink means to be able to think two contradictory things at once without being aware of the contradiction. In other words, one is conscious of telling the truth while telling lies, forgetting whatever one needs to forget and then remembering it when needed, only to forget again. Doublethink is essential for political orthodoxy.”

Together we discuss the Doublethink and Doublespeak being incorporated into a new language in each generation. Terms such as: Economic investment, Free trade capitalism, Austerity, Barriers to investment, and Job security. We examine the reality of these terms ans how the people in resistance are a threat to the power structures developing the Global management Program.

Recent Interviews: Tunisia’s Unfinished Revolution and Global Drone Wars

The following are two recent interviews of mine, with CBC Radio and Fairdinkum Radio, respectively, on Tunisia and drone wars.

CBC The Current: What Happened to Tunisia’s Revolution?

The assassination of a popular opposition leader has some Tunisians wondering if the instability unleashed by their revolution is worth it. We speak to some who believe it is. As Tunisians mourn a popular opposition leader, many wonder what’s become of their Arab Spring.

Fairdinkum Radio: Drone Warfare

Leon is joined by Andrew Gavin Marshall, who is a regular contributor to where he presents a regular podcast entitled ‘Empire Power and People.’

Together we discuss the use of un manned aerial vehicles commonly known as Drones, is an emerging phenomena of our generation. These silent deadly eyes in the sky, can see, listen, target and destroy anything and anyone that their operators, sitting in air conditioned comfort of a control room thousands of kms away decide is a legitimate target.

With the Anglo American ongoing Imperialist agenda for world domination, these silent deadly unfeeling killers are an invaluable asset for Imperialist forces that have a thirst for the blood of nations in their sites. While we the people are tired of War, the commanders and engineers of death have found a new way to invigorate their forces and send their killers into the battle, without suffering the natural feelings of guilt, shock and psychological torment that comes with killing your fellow created beings upon command.

The following are two recent interviews, the first with James Corbett of Corbett Report, on dynastic power, institutions, and the meaning of revolution, the second with Devon DB of Revolutionary Journal on technocracy, science in politics, and the scientific dictatorship.

Corbett Report, 25 October 2012

Even amongst the alternative media, we are often taught to fear our would-be overlords and their presumed omnipotence. But what if what we are fighting are not families and bloodlines but ideas and institutions? What if the answer is not to focus on what “they” are doing to us, but what we can do for ourselves? Don’t miss tonight’s fascinating conversation on power, politics and solutions with Andrew Gavin Marshall of The People’s Book Project and
